Valentine's Time, February 14th, is really a fun day for each young and old! It's a day to think of those we love and celebrate friendship and kindness. It had been 1 of my preferred winter holidays when the children had been younger as I beloved all of the hoopla of the events in school, Scouts and Sunday College. It was a break from the winter doldrums! I beloved heading to the shop to let them every choose out their own Valentine's. In our home, we usually added a component of giving to the day. We would bake and provide home created cookies to elderly neighbors. We'd collect coins in a big decorated Valentines Day jug that we had decorated following shortly following Christmas and have enjoyable watching it grow. On Valentines Time we would count the coins and decide where we would donate the monies.
